event | brett crawford: los ángeles guardianes

if you’ve ever desired to truly dive into someone else’s imagination, brett crawford is your guy. stand in front of one of his works for more than a few seconds and you’ll find yourself giving in to the alternate reality he’s created—an immersive, colorful world of his own design.

his latest show, los ángeles guardianes, gives life and form to the countless guardian angels that slip between the surfaces of reality. as a survivor of several near death experiences, crawford has had the ability to come into close contact with many of these guardians. los ángeles guardianes is a tribute to the forces that have and continue to offer him their forms of protection, their guidance fueling a series of works that pays homage to what lies beyond the veil. hybrid moths, strong human forms, and children interacting with birds are some of the characterized embodiments of these protectors. the show also includes a clothing collaboration, new sculpture pieces, and multiple print releases.
